Description

The Parent Teacher Association of Port Richmond High School in Staten Island, New York is hosting our annual community resource fair and basket auction on June 8, 2024 in our school’s courtyard. We are requesting donations to be used at this event.

Our school is a Title 1 Community School with over 82% of our students living below poverty level. Donations are essential to ensure equality and excellence for all of our students. We plan to use all funds from this event for programs which will help provide alternative avenues for success to those who struggle with social, economical, educational or environmental barricades in their everyday lives. Our goal is to help every student, from every background, succeed in their positive goals for the future.

All donations will be used strictly for “Raffle Baskets” which will be the centerpiece of our event. All baskets will be filled with beautiful donations and seen by the many guests at our event who come from communities near and far. This event will be advertised publicly for the next few weeks and open to all. All profits earned go to the betterment of the children who attend Port Richmond High School.

Donations can be made in the form of a gift certificate, admission passes, subscriptions, samples, company goods or monetary funds (which will be put toward a “big” purchase i.e. IPAD, television etc.). All donors will be listed and thanked on our school website, on our multiple social media platforms and in the basket guide. We will gladly display posters, flyers, and promotional items at the request of all donors.

Port Richmond High School is a non-profit organization which abides by all rules and regulations of the Chancellor and is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service.  Hence, all donations are tax deductible.
