President's Cup Annual Golf & Tennis Tournament
Golf Tournament for Notre Dame Academy of Staten IslandJun 22, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
For over a century, Notre Dame Academy of Staten Island has maintained a steadfast and passionate commitment to excellence and leadership in the education of girls and young women from grades Pre-K through twelfth grade. Part of our mission statement is to lead “each girl and young woman to become an agent of her own transformation and of the transformation of society,” and our students transform the world around them every day through service in the community and to those less fortunate. Our campus ministry group and Interact group dedicate countless hours to community-centered service projects and work with local groups such as Project Hospitality, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Midnight Run. The idea of “paying it forward” is one of utmost importance at NDA. Our young women realize how fortunate they are to attend Notre Dame and receive your generous support and use that opportunity to work with many organizations to serve the local and wider community. Every year some of our students build houses with Habitat for Humanity, our students host events to raise money for the American Cancer Society and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
THE PRESIDENT’S CUP GOLF AND TENNIS TOURNAMENT is an annual fundraiser for Notre Dame Academy and will be held this year on June 22nd at Grand Oaks Country Club and The College of Staten Island Tennis Courts. This major fund raising effort will support our scholarship and tuition assistance program. Our scholarship and tuition assistance programs enable bright young women who would not otherwise be able to attend NDA the opportunity to attend a college-preparatory school that prepares young women of faith to serve their community and the world around them. This year, we are committed to helping support other local charities in the process. We are choosing one of the many great causes on Staten Island, such as Amethyst House, Project Hospitality, and Camp Good Grief, and contributing a portion of our profits from the event to them.
