Thank you for considering our request! The Privateer Party is the annual benefit for London Town Foundation (dba Historic London Town and Gardens). The benefit includes a silent and live auction, music and dancing, catering from local caterers and restaurants, and a rum tasting station. Over 200 people attend with many coming in costume. The Privateer Party raises around $40,000 for Historic London Town and Gardens' educational, historical and horticultural programs. Located just outside of Annapolis in Edgewater, London Town reveals a “lost” colonial town and shares a beautiful garden sanctuary at the crossroads of the Chesapeake Bay. Each year, London Town educates over 5,500 students and teachers and welcomes over 10,000 general and special events visitors to our historic site (including the c.1760 William Brown House, a National Historic Landmark) and 10 acres of woodland and ornamental gardens, all along the South River.
