Public Service Fund Annual Auction
Gala/Party for Marshall-Wythe School of Law Foundation/ Public Service FundFeb 17, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM
The Public Service Fund is a student-run organization committed to supporting law students who provide important legal services to the underprivileged through summer public service and public interest internships. We provide stipends that allow law students to work in unpaid summer jobs in a variety of areas, including child custody, domestic violence, environmental protection, state and local government, public defense, and more. These students advocate for individuals who are unable to speak for themselves, and provide services not only in Virginia, but all over the country.
We host several events during the school year to raise funds to support our mission, and our success relies on the generous donations of businesses, students, faculty, and alumni. Throughout the year, our members work with these businesses and individuals to gather donations of merchandise and services. Previous donations include in-kind donations of gift certificates and cards, services, tickets, and merchandise.
We are asking for your support with our Annual Auction, which is our largest fundraiser of the year and one of the law school’s largest events. This year’s auction will take place in February, 2024, and will consist of both an online and a live auction. In recent years, PSF has offered over 150 items and services at our Annual Auction and has consistently raised over $20,000 annually from this event alone—our 2023 auction raised a record $35,000!
We appreciate your consideration of our request for a donation. Your generosity will make a difference in our community by allowing us to continue our work.
