On Thursday, June 19, 2014 the Aubrey Rose Foundation will be hosting a Fundraising Event for Ladies -Purses 4 a Purpose, at Elements Event Center in Cincinnati, OH. Our sponsor this year is radio station Q102. The proceeds from this event will benefit the Aubrey Rose Foundation and help fund programs and services to help families with children facing life-threatening illnesses. We help families locally, around the U.S. and Internationally.

We help families by helping pay medical care, surgeries, hospital visits, doctor visits, prescriptions, therapy-related bills for their children. The Foundation will fund anything deemed medically necessary for their Child or Children, including necessities such as a dog for a seizure patient, a bathroom system for a child in a wheelchair. We have another program here at the Foundation called “Healing the Worlds Hearts”. We bring children with heart defects from within the United States and also from developing countries around the world to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for open-heart surgeries and the Aubrey Rose Foundation funds the entire operation and stay. In 2013 the Foundation helped an eight month old boy from the Philippines who needed open heart surgery. Without the surgery this little boy was not expected to live. This child had the successful surgery and has returned to his home to live a healthy and productive life.

We would like to invite you to play a big part in this fundraising event. We were hoping that you would be able to make a donation for our bid and buy auction or our raffle. Or we are in need of items for our Swag Bags that each lady will receive at the door. We are expecting 200-300 women or more at this event. Our goal for this event is to collect over 1,000 designer, designer-inspired and trendy handbags to sell at the event. Tickets will include appetizers, drinks, raffles, purse giveaways, a swag bag, plus the chance to purchase new and gently-used designer handbags for a fraction of the cost. We are a 501(C ) 3 Foundation ran by all volunteers so every cent of money we raise goes towards helping children and their families. Please consider partnering in this terrific endeavor and making lifetime memories for children with a life-threatening medical condition. We will appreciate anything you are able to donate to this wonderful cause. In 2013 the Foundation was able to help 435 families, this year our goal is 500 or more families. Two of our Sponsors this year are Q102 and Remke. We are expecting at least 200-300 women , however, with Q102 announcing the event on the radio over and over we are prepared for a lot more. We will keep our fingers crossed. You know how women love purses.
