Lower Umpqua Hospital District is a Critical Access Hospital on the Oregon Coast.  We are in need of replacing our current Mammography equipment and do not have the funds to do so.  We are looking to update to 3D Mammography for better patient care experiences.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we have a goal set to have our first golf tournament to raise these funds.  In small rural areas we have to get creative when it comes to obtaining new and updated equipment, and we are all committed to raising these funds to better assist our patients in their preventative care.  Mammography appointments are a much needed test and we want to support all patients by providing this service without them having to travel outside of our area to do so.  Many of our patients are retired and cannot drive any distances or may not have the financial means to drive out of town.  Thank you for your consideration in supporting this very worthy cause!
