Lower Umpqua Hospital District is a Critical Access Hospital on the Oregon Coast.  We are in need of upgrading our current Mammography equipment and do not have the availability in our budget to accomplish this task.  We are looking to update to 3D Mammography for better patient care and patient outcomes.  This will be the second year we have held this event to try to raise these funds.  In small rural areas, we have to get creative when it comes to obtaining new and updated equipment, and we are all committed to raising these funds to better assist our patients in their preventative and diagnostic care.  Mammography appointments are a much needed screening test and we want to support all patients by providing this service without them having to travel outside of their hometown to do so.  Many of our patients are elderly, and cannot drive any distances or many not have the financial means to travel out of town.  We do not want these things to hinder them from getting the care they need.  Thank you for your consideration in supporting this very worth cause.
