Domestic Violence Awareness Month is October 1-31, 2019

 Theme: Putt’n End To Domestic Violence

 DeeCilla Comfort Center supports survivors of sexual and domestic violence and human trafficking while working tirelessly to put an end to these issues affecting our community. These traumatizing issues keep individuals from living a fulfilled life, taking away their hopes and dreams of a bright future. We aim to help restore their hope that all is not lost and it is never too late for a new beginning with endless opportunities that await them.

 In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we will head off our campaign, Putt'n End To Domestic Violence. DCC's Campaign Theme aligns and supports our State's #ItCanStop in AZ Campaign as we understand the importance of standing in unity regarding such matters. DCC conducts innovative awareness outreach events throughout the year, giving to those in need while providing programs and resources to spread awareness and intervention of various forms of abuse. We understand that one form of abuse is connected to or increases the chances of additional forms of abuse. 

During our Domestic Violence Awareness Month Campaign, families will enjoy a morning of fun and friendly competition during our Golf Tournament, held at Top Golf. This event, fit for golfers and golfers alike, will also showcase partner agencies that provide resources to prevent child abuse, teen dating abuse, and sexual violence as well as drug and alcohol abuse programs, and financial and wellness programs. These programs and community resources will aid in growing a stronger and vibrant community that understands where to find resources and how to use them if and when needed.  These programs will also showcase things to do to maintain a healthy individual and family lifestyle to help prevent these traumatizing issues. 

Our events that never focus on one issue, but how many things can prevent a single issue is what makes DeeCilla Comfort Center stand out from similar agencies. We thank you for supporting us on 26 October at Top Golf in Glendale, AZ, as we Putt'n End to Domestic Violence!
