The Friends of the Downey City Library is a 501c3 non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers who are dedicated to making a difference in our community by supporting our local library and helping them promote the importance of reading and education. Each year our volunteers work to raise funds to support programs and events at the Downey Library. This fall our organization will be hosting a Quartermania fundraiser, to be held on November 4th 2023, in which attendees will bid on donations provided by generous donors in the community. The names of our donors will be displayed on the day of the event and will be published in our newsletter which is mailed to our members and public officials throughout the city.
