Description

The 13th Annual Race Against Poverty 5K/walk/children's race will be on June 2, 2023. This evening race has become a premier race for the region. All proceeds from the Race Against Poverty go to Support Circles Initiative, which is seeing framilies successfully overcome poverty and move into long term financial stability in our community as well as vital SCAAP programs. Support Circles is facilitated by South Cental Community Action Programs (SCCAP), a local 501 (c) non-profit organization that has been serving out community for over 57 years. Every year we are seeing people accomplish amazing outcomes, build long term stability, and increase their over wellbeing.

To empower families and engage the community to pursue innovative and effective solutions to break the cycle of poverty!

SCCAP touches the lives of 17,000+ families annually that are impacted. We support the social infrastructure so the low wage earners and seniors on a fixed income can thrive.
