Description

TEAM DONKA’s theme for this event is “Race for Abilities”
and reflects our mission to help individuals with disabilities
operate a computer on their own using assistive technology
(AT) - adaptive equipment and software. By gaining computer
skills, training participants can increase their self-sufficiency
and achieve life goals we all take for granted.
Those considering sponsorship of Race for Abilities should
know -
Over 5,000 runners and walkers participate in the marathon
and thousands more show up to cheer them along - this
mean a lot of people will see your company’s name on our runners’ t-shirts.
• Donka encourages our runners to share information about sponsors on their social media
posts throughout October.
All proceeds from Race for Abilities benefit our students, with this year’s revenue going
towards the Donna R. Terbell Empowerment Fund - a newly established grant which
provides Donka students who can’t afford their own technology dollars to purchase
laptops and AT.
