Immanuel Christian School, located in the heart of downtown Hazleton, is committed to faithfully serving the community. We are intentional about serving students who are academically disenfranchised, culturally diverse, and economically disadvantaged. Our K–12 enrollment has grown to over 150 students, and we expect to continue this growth for the 2023–2024 school year. Over 70% of students who attend ICS are considered low-income. While interest in ICS continues to grow, that growth is matched by increasing financial needs from our student body. A lack of scholarship funds limits our ability to come alongside more families who want their children to have the opportunity of an ICS education.

In response to the financial need standing in the way of so many children’s educational opportunities, Immanuel Christian School will be hosting our annual Race for Education. It will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Hazleton’s City View Park. Our theme is Ready, Set, Go! to start the year off running strong and will include a color run for an extra dash of creativity. The students have a lot of fun with this! Our school goal is to raise $60,000. These funds will be used towards scholarships for low-income students to help us achieve our mission of providing a financially accessible, grace-filled, Christ-centered education shaping students to become lifelong learners who serve their community with integrity.
