The Dr. Patricia A. Guth Elementary School Home and School Association (HSA) is a non-profit organization that provides various funds to purchase library and educational resources, assist with field trips, family events and provide educational assemblies for Guth students (~500 students each year in grades K-5).  These funds are mainly obtained through our annual Race for Education.

Our Race for Education is our schools largest fundraiser with many participants as well as supporters!  Students participate by running laps on the schools playground while family and friends come to watch and cheer on the students!  Our 'Race' day is followed up by announcing students and classes with the most laps as well as picking our prize winners through a raffle.  Students are encouraged to gather names and addresses of family and friends to mail out donation request letters in support of our school.  Students are entered into the raffle for every 10 names they provide.  We raffle off all donated prizes to the students and their families as well as the teachers.  The teachers are also rewarded a monetary budget they can use to supply their classrooms with much needed items.
