Ranson Festival and Car Show
Carnival/Festival for Voices Against Domestic ViolenceJun 07, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Voices Against Domestic Violence, a 501c3 organization, will have an information table setup for the event. We will have giveways and raffles throughout the day to draw participants to our booth. Our goal is to inform our community of who we are and what we do. VADV provides transitional services and support to victims of domestic violence in the Eastern Panhandle of WV and surrounding areas. VADV connects victims and survivors to a network of supportive people, resources, and other positive opportunities of growth, empowerment, and motivation to aid in the successful transition to healthy lifestyles. VADV takes a holistic approach in addressing the spiritual, emotional, physical, and tangible needs of those who desperately require assistance.
VADV was established to put a voice to the silent and deadly epidemic of domestic violence in our community. So often these victims suffer in silence and feel as though they have nowhere to turn. VADV has undertaken the commission to change the culture surrounding this “taboo” subject and lead change to end domestic violence in our communities.
VADV provides aid to victims of domestic violence facing food, shelter, and financial insecurities. We offer a safe space for planning, preparation and transition which results in at least 75 percent of participants improving their ability to live self-sufficiently in an environment free of violence and abuse. VADV is fully donation and grant funded and our team is 100 percent volunteer.
