Over the past eight years our family hosted the annual Ray Wilkens Memorial Golf Tournament at the Glencoe Country Club in Glencoe, Minnesota. The golf tournament is hosted in memory of Ray Wilkens, beloved husband and father, who was a proud veteran all of his life.

Each year we donate the proceeds from the golf tournament to McLeod County Veterans Services (MCVS), benefiting local Veterans. Our donations specifically supports two programs within MCVS:

McLeod County Veterans Assistance Fund: Provides augmentation to the emergent needs of local veterans, active duty service members, drilling members of the reserve components and their families that might not be covered by existing federal, state or local assistance programs. Examples include: emergency vehicle repairs, rent payments, utility payments, emergency heating system repairs and emergency travel expenses. 
McLeod County Veterans Home: Fundraising efforts are in progress by the MCVS to purchase a residential home in McLeod county to provide housing and services to local Veterans. 
Additionally this year a portion of the funds will be allocated toward a future memorial in Plato, MN.
In Ray’s memory, over the past seven years, we have raised a total of $99,000 and our tournament in 2022 alone raised $16,000. We are thankful and appreciative of all of the generous donations individuals and businesses  have contributed over the years. This year we will be hosting the 9th Annual Ray Wilkens Memorial Golf Tournament on Friday, June 9th, 2023. We are accepting hole sponsorships (minimum donation of $100), monetary donations of any amount,  door prizes, and larger contest prizes.
