Hillside Elementary School and Tenakill Middle School will be holding a Read-a-Thon fundraiser on March 2, 2024 that will last for 2 weeks. These dates coincide with Read Across America week. In fact, the entire month of March is dedicated to reading. Events are organized across the nation by schools and organizations such as ours to encourage reading and educate people about its benefits

The concept of a Read-a-Thon fundraiser is to encourage grade-school kids to get excited about reading, by tying pledge amounts to the number of “reading minutes” the children complete. The money raised from the fundraiser will benefit our school and used towards cultural assemblies, author visits, security equipment, smart boards, and playground equipment.
