The Floral Park Bellerose School PTA is hosting its annual Read-A-Thon event from February 1, 2024 through February 28, 2024. The goal of the Read-A-Thon is to promote literacy and enthusiasm for reading among the students while they fundraise to support our school. Students on our leaderboard earn prizes for their hard work. In the past, with the generosity of businesses like yours, the Read-A-Thon has been a huge success.

Last year, 553 students in our school participated in the Read-A-Thon with a total of over 225,000 minutes read during the month of February! We raised $18,575 in funds to sponsor student events and activities at Floral Park Bellerose School, such as school-wide assemblies and books for the classrooms. Over 100 donations and prizes were contributed to this event last year. With your support, we aim to exceed the amazing achievements of last year’s Read-A-Thon.

We would appreciate if your business can help this wonderful event through a monetary or prize donation. For example, your business may wish to donate: (A) funds directly towards our 2024 Read-A-Thon fundraising goal of $20,000, or (B) fund the ice cream truck prize that is awarded to the class in each grade that logs the most total time read, or (C) provide a gift card or special prize to be awarded directly to a deserving student. We welcome any contribution you can offer to make our event successful!

Businesses that donate to the Read-A-Thon will receive a personalized acknowledgment and thank you posted to our social media pages. Donors will also be recognized on the promotional materials circulated to the school families. It is important to us that we highlight the businesses that support our local community.
