Description

Redmond Historical Society serves the community through stewardship: collecting, preserving and sharing Redmond’s unique heritage.

Redmond Historical Society is recognized as a dynamic, beneficial, and responsive community resource for everything historical in the community. Through our staff, volunteers and programs we serve the diverse community – families and schools, business and civic organizations, and government – attracting experienced leaders, supportive donors, and enthusiastic members.

Redmond Historical Society is hosting their 2nd annual dinner and auction on May 11 at the Redmond Senior Center. The theme is Redmond – The Speakeasy Years” with delicious food, fantastic auction items, and even a costume contest! To make this event a success, we need members, guests, and donations to help us meet our goal of $50,000 for our move back to the Old Redmond Schoolhouse building, continuing digitization of the Sammamish Valley News, and to support our museum space in the ORS.

Tickets for the event can be purchased by calling the Society office at 425-885-2919 or by email at  info@RedmondHistoricalSociety.org. You can also be a table sponsor, or a benefactor for the event by contacting john.oftebro@redmondhistoricalsociety.org (206) 819–3075.

The Redmond Historical Society was founded in 1999 by a small group of citizens passionate about preserving our local history. Since our beginning, we have undertaken many endeavors that have resulted in an extensive collection of historical documents, pictures and artifacts, as well as oral histories. Our digital archives house over 30,000 photographic and scanned data. Redmond Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit group (Tax ID 91-1994957).

Donors will be acknowledged by Auctioneer and in catalog.
