During these unprecedented and challenging times, Redondo Ballet and Dance 1 have kept dancers dancing and engaged during this pandemic. This is important for our dancers’ emotional as well as physical well-being. Redondo Ballet, a dynamic and emerging non-profit 501(c)(3) pre-professional ballet company provides a nurturing, challenging and creative environment that enables dancers to artistically thrive, while simultaneously teaching the dancers to be compassionate citizens of the world. During the pandemic, we’ve remotely produced dance short stories, via Zoom, all leading up to free, online premieres of both of our large-scale productions. We also produced a pandemic-friendly dance film. This all takes needed dollars to continue to be creative with the engagement of the dancers.

To assist in this effort, the company is holding an online auction from November 27th thru December 11. It is now more important than ever to keep the arts alive as we’ve seen many companies close their doors. We are looking for donations towards our online auction. The proceeds of this fundraiser will help fund the philanthropic program, Ballet in a Box, which takes the gift of dance to underserved dance organizations and schools, not only across the U.S., but around the world and help fund our many outreach programs. The fundraiser will also help fund our two large-scale productions (Through the Pages and The Snow Queen), once we’re back in the theater. 

In light of the pandemic and struggling economy, donations to non-profits have all but disappeared. But those that we serve through our outreach programs are in even greater need. We desperately need help to be able to provide this important arts outlet and to continue to take the charitable outreach to those in need.
