This event is a fundraiser for Free State Roller Derby (FSRD), a women’s flat-track roller derby league based out of Rockville, Maryland.  FSRD strives to provide an accessible way to empower skaters of all skill levels to learn and play the sport of all-women’s flat track roller derby, develop self-confidence, and increase fitness in a safe, supportive, diverse and welcoming environment. We are a designated 501(c)(3) organization and 100 percent volunteer-run.

Donations would be for a silent auction that will be held during our Ref’n G Chili Cook-off on Saturday, November 11th 2023.  At this event, typically attended by over 150 community members and fans, we auction off gift cards, merchandise, and services generously donated by businesses like yours. The chili cook-off and silent auction serves as our league’s major annual fundraising event, with proceeds going toward our practice facility rental costs. Additionally, a portion of proceeds are donated to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance in memory of league member David “Ref’n G” Dennis.
