The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

 Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society (ACS). 

 Relay is staffed and coordinated by volunteers in thousands of communities and 27 countries. Volunteers give of their time and effort because they believe it's time to take action against cancer.

I am a volunteer with the American Cancer Society and participating in the Relay for Life Whittier / La Mirada in September. Relay For Life is a 10 hour event – a team relay walk – someone from each team is walking 10 hours to represent that cancer journey. The event has ceremonies to celebrate survivors and caregivers, remember those who have lost the battle to cancer and commitments to fights back against the disease.

 Our Team (Pink Panthers) has a scratcher fundraiser – tickets are sold for a donation and prizes are awarded based on the item revealed on each ticket. Your donation(s) will be on our prize table !  We would be honored to be able to present a donation from your organization.  We will also recognize your company in our event program as a Thank You.
