Rice Elementary School will be participating in the Altrusa of Golden Valley's Magical Christmas Tree Event.  The teachers and staff are sponsoring a tree for this event with most of the gifts and decorations coming out of our own pockets.  However, we are looking for donations of gifts that we can include as gifts under our tree that go along with our theme of "Family Fun".  We are looking for gift cards or family passes for local places for family entertainment.  We hope you will consider donating to this event!  The Magical Christmas Tree event will be held at Kia of Santa Maria November 29th - December 14th.  Once the event starts, there will be 30-40 different trees on display.  Community members can come in and buy raffle tickets for $1 to win their favorite tree.  All money raised from this event goes back into the community as scholarships and grants for students in Santa Maria.
