About Rider SOS Accident Fund

 Rider SOS Accident Fund is a federally recognized 501c3 nonprofit built by riders for riders. We offer assistance to motorcycle enthusiasts when they need it most after a serious accident. Our mission is to positively impact the motorcycle community through direct participation with motorcyclists and beneficial partnerships with other organizations. We believe that by working together, we will be able to provide a more extensive spectrum of support collectively.

 This year we have also evolved our mission to include education and awareness to reduce the number of accidents. We aim to be a partner in awareness and education everywhere we go.

 Through the Rider SOS Accident Fund, we have established a constant source of support for riders involved in an accident. Support services include the loaning of medical equipment when available, helping with transportation to appointments, care for kids or pets, as well as financial assistance. Our ability is only possible through community support and sponsorship. Our nonprofit organization guarantees that all funds raised locally will remain in the local community to help other riders.

 Since our inception in 2018, we have helped over 150 riders and distributed over $200,000. We have also adopted many of these riders and their families for the holidays providing gifts for every family member in the household, a full holiday dinner, and even decorations and trees if needed. For the past few years we have partnered with other nonprofits, including Giving Tuesday, to distribute gifts to local children who would have otherwise gone without for the holidays. This past year was our best yet with 1,424 local children receiving multiple toys each. 

 

Rider SOS Accident Fund Scavenger Hunt

 Rider SOS Accident Fund Scavenger Hunt is a fundraising and awareness event where participants will register at a predetermined location, typically our headline sponsor, on Saturday, April 29, 2023. Upon registration – individuals or teams – will be given a list of approximately two hundred locations across the Las Vegas valley and their team “Key” designating their team number. Each registrant or team will travel to their selected destinations and take "selfies” with their team and the "treasure item" at that location to earn a predetermined amount of points. Teams, which will vary from four to six participants, are not permitted to split up and will have to be in the photos together. Participants will have four to six hours to obtain as many points as they can before arriving at the final predetermined destination, typically our secondary event sponsor's location. Event volunteers will verify photographs and total points awarded. The individual or team with the most points will win the grand prize.
 

As an added bonus, participants will receive bonus points for every dollar spent in-store on the day of the event! This gives you, the business owner, an added incentive to have these individuals in your location. They are going to be looking to make purchases throughout the day! This added incentive allows riders to earn more points throughout the day while supporting the businesses who are supporting this event, truly a win-win for everyone involved!  

 All proceeds collected from entries and donations from sponsors that are not spent directly on the event will go directly to the Rider SOS Accident Fund which directly assists local Las Vegas riders and their families in their time of need, after an accident. 

 About our participants 

 Our ambition for the Rider SOS Accident Fund Scavenger Hunt is to gather at least 350 local participants, who are motorcycle enthusiasts and either ride or participate in the motorcycle industry in Las Vegas. These participants are potential consumers for you who live, work, eat, shop, and play, near your business. Most of the target participants have families with children and grandchildren, several own or manage small businesses, and many have an extensive network of family and friends who can share the word about your business. We understand that participants like to keep their business local and support organizations that are like-minded and community-focused. The motorcycle industry is a traveling community that is always looking for new places to meet, ride to, and gather together for both fun and recreation. Knowing that your organization welcomes our community will entice our participants to patronize your business as well as share about it.

 Sponsorship and Donations

 We are seeking donations in the form of raffle prizes (i.e., motorcycle gear, maintenance items, gift certificates to try new places, etc.), gift certificates, and any other contributions you may see fit for the Rider SOS Accident Fund Scavenger Hunt. No donation is too large or too small; we appreciate all contributions given to our cause. All businesses that donate will be announced several times during the event, and will also be recognized on our Facebook page. Also, all donors that would like to be a vendor will receive a booth space free of charge if they donate an item, or items, valued at over $100 to the raffle. Please be advised that the point value assigned to each location is a direct reflection of the donation or raffle item value. For example, if your donation is a $25 gift basket, the participant would get 25 points. A $1,000 donation would get 1,000 points and so on. Do not get discouraged though, the last 2 winners took an interesting strategy and visited every one of the smaller sponsors in a smaller area, both winning by a landslide. They were able to achieve a much greater point accomplishment by visiting more locations. So do not overthink this. There are multiple strategies and plenty of people to try each variation. Donations can be emailed, mailed, or we can schedule for pick-up!
