Reading Is Fundamental of Southern California (RIFSoCal) is celebrating its 50th Anniversary with a Wine & Dine fundraiser on Sunday, June 5, 2022, from 1 pm - 4 pm in Calabasas, CA.

As Los Angeles and Orange County’s largest children’s literacy organization, RIFSoCal works every day to help our kids discover the magic of reading for fun and pleasure. We do this by putting new, free books of choice directly into the hands, homes, and hearts of eager children from high-poverty preschools, elementary and middle schools, and community-based programs.

As of our 50th Anniversary, we will have served 1.7 million children and provided

them with more than 5.1 million books.

We are especially proud that this year, despite the pandemic, we are serving 47,254 children at 273 sites.

Wine & Design will raise the dollars we need to build our children’s home libraries and distribute more than 170,000 books this year alone. Letting a child choose a new book to call their very own – often for the first time – is one of the most powerful, yet simple tools to support our children’s ability to succeed in school and life. Yet, two out of three children living in poverty in the U.S. today have no books of their own.

We invite you to showcase your business by donating an experience at your venue, an item, gift basket or a gift card / certificate to our silent auction. In recognition of your donation, your company name will be displayed and included in our printed event program distributed to all who attend the event.
