The Western New York chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation  will celebrate 10 years of Rising Stars this year. Each year, the CFF honors young professionals, ages 21 to 40, in WNY that are committed to professional growth through a guided fundraising and awareness campaign.
 
These honorees exemplify strong leadership qualities, are active in their community and have excelled in their chosen professions.  In the past 10 years, honorees have used their leadership skills to generate more than $500,000 to further the mission of the CF Foundation over the past 10 years. Their fundraising efforts have helped to cure cystic fibrosis and provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research, drug development, individualized treatment and access to high-quality, specialized care.
 
Through a 16-week program starting in August, honorees will enjoy many benefits, including the knowledge that they are helping to better the lives of children and adults living with cystic fibrosis. The program includes a kickoff event, program orientation, professional development events, networking opportunities, and CF education events. With resources and a program mentor, each honoree commits to fundraising $2,000 for the CFF. At the end of the campaign, each honoree is awarded for their accomplishments as a CF ambassador at a celebration dinner in November.
