Description

CCBC Foundation’s 17th annual gala is celebrating “togetherness” with the RISING TOGETHER GALA: Championing diversity, equity, inclusion, access and belonging. Proceeds support new and existing programs and initiatives directed at strengthening the college’s tradition of responding to the needs of its highly diverse populations.

CCBC’S RISING TOGETHER GALA is slated for April 6, 2024, at Martin’s West. Eighty-five percent of CCBC students come from economically vulnerable backgrounds, and as a minority-majority institution – with a student demographic of 59% female and 56% minority – CCBC is dedicated to the notion of “Leading with Equity.” From this notion, a new recognition was born: equity lies not in simply inviting students into the room, but in perfecting strategies to help retain them by taking “Actions that Matter.”
