RivALZ Phoenix
Sporting Event for Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association Inc/ Alzheimer's Association - Desert Southwest ChapterDec 03, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Alzheimer's Association® RivALZ is a volunteer-driven event that engages young professionals in friendly but fierce flag football games around the country. RivALZ began in the fall of 2005 as Blondes vs. Brunettes®, a flag football event founded by a group of professional women with a desire to drive awareness among a younger audience while raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. Since the inaugural game, the event has grown to more than 40 cities, raising more than $13 million. Phoenix has raised nearly $400,000 since our first game in 2013.
To accommodate nationwide growth and encourage inclusivity the event was rebranded as RivALZ. In 2022 Phoenix will be hosting the first-ever RivALZ co-ed tournament.
The Desert Southwest Chapter is guided by our mission to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research, providing and enhancing care and support for all affected, and reducing the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. We continuously work to improve the lives of the more than 170,000 individuals in our Chapter diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
