Description

Dear Manager,

For over twenty-five years, Rivendell Theatre Ensemble has filled a crucial role in Chicago as the only professional theater dedicated to advancing women’s lives through the arts. To support our 27th season, we will host our annual fundraising event Rivendell’s 2022 Blue Jean Ball and Benefit on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 5:30 – 10:00 p.m. at Bridge 410, 410 N Paulina on the Near West side of Chicago.

Every year, a crowd of over 300 urban professionals dress in their finest denim to enjoy an evening of dining, dancing, bourbon sipping and carousing, all to raise money for Rivendell Theatre. Our Annual Blue Jean Ball is paramount to Rivendell’s success and viability. The funds raised at this event contribute almost a third of our yearly operating budget and enables us to continue sharing our unique voices and perspectives as women theater artists with Chicago audiences.

Now more than ever, social justice issues such as Gender Equality and Women empowerment dominate conversations.  Rivendell’s youth education program and productions directly propel this movement through its commitment to women’s work. As a result the Chicago theatre awards nominated all three shows of our last full season in 2019 and we are back on stage in 2022 with an award recommended show SPAY which just closed after resounding reviews for its depiction and new perspective on the opioid crisis in the United States.

We are writing today in hopes you will consider a donation for our silent auction. Your generosity will inspire others and bring much needed attention and validation to the talents of women theatre artists. This is an exciting and worthwhile chance to support Rivendell Theatre Ensemble while promoting your brand and product to our loyal audiences.

To acknowledge your contribution, the following opportunities will be provided:

●        Company recognition in the silent auction event materials

●        Company recognition on our website www.rivendelltheatre.org

I have included 2021 links and invite information as we are developing our 2022 event pages and invites this week.

Thank you for your time and consideration of this request. Rivendell believes that every great journey leads you home and we hope to welcome you into ours and count you among our most important supporters.

Warmly,

Andrea McDermott
