Description

Dear Area Business,

This October WOW National Outdoor Recreation and Conservation School and our partners will be hosting the 26th annual WOW School at Roaring River State Park. On behalf of all the partners I would like to take just a few minutes of your time to ask for your help.  WOW School is in need of donations for a silent auction, door prizes, and outdoor equipment to help support our education efforts.  In 2022, we had around 200 participants at WOW School Roaring River from across Missouri, and six additional states (Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Iowa, and Illinois).  WOW National Outdoor Recreation and Conservation School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and your contribution would be tax-deductible.

WOW School is a hands-on learning experience for individuals of all ages that offers an opportunity for families to share quality time together. We provide participants the opportunity to step into Mother Nature’s classroom to learn exciting outdoor skills, conservation principles, outdoor safety, and ethics components.  At WOW Roaring River, participants can choose from more than 60 different course topics such as outdoor cooking, fishing, shooting sports, and archery.  This year, WOW School Roaring River State will be held on October 6th – 8th.

WOW National Outdoor Recreation and Conservation School is sponsored by the Conservation Federation of Missouri, the Missouri Department of Conservation, Missouri Department of Natural Resources: Division of State Parks, National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services, United States Army Corps of Engineers, United States Forest Service, Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium, and Dogwood Canyon Nature Park.

We would greatly appreciate anything you would be willing to contribute to our efforts.  During WOW School we have a silent and a live auction, where we can use any merchandise donations.  We would be happy to recognize your business in our program information, by displaying banners around the banquet tent, and by passing out coupons, flyers or other marketing material.

Thank you very much for the time you took in consideration of this request.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at (417) 225-1162 or edu@wondersofwildlife.org. You may also mail donations to Wonders of Wildlife, 600 W Sunshine St. Springfield, MO 65807. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
