Robert Burns DinnerGala/Party for San Diego RiteCare Childhood Language Center
Jan 25, 2020 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM
On January 25, 2020, the Scottish Rite Valley of San Diego will host a fundraiser to benefit the San Diego RiteCare Childhood Language Center (CLC) that will honor Robert Burns, a famous Freemason and Poet from Scotland. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be used to provide intensive speech and language therapy services to children ages 2-12 in San Diego who have debilitating communication disorders, with NO REQUIRED fees to their families. Last year, with the help of donors like you, we forever changed the lives of 126 children, a 22% increase over the previous year!
More than 35,000 children right here in San Diego suffer from a communication disorder that prohibits them from communicating effectively with their peers. Every child who comes to the San Diego RiteCare CLC receives up to $7,000 in therapy services, at no cost to their families! While we are proud of our commitment to provide our services at no cost so that families of all income levels can take advantage of them, operating a high-quality facility with highly-trained Speech-Language Pathologists, and utilizing the most up-to-date therapy materials comes with a significant cost.
This year, we must raise more than $300,000 to cover our operating costs and ensure that we are able to continue changing the lives of children in need. Events like the Robert Burns Dinner help us to reach that goal.
We would be truly grateful if you would support our efforts by donating an item to include in our silent auction. In return for your contribution, you will receive exposure to an audience of 5,000 households, as well as thousands of dollars in marketing benefits through recognition at the event, in our printed materials and through our social media.
