March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day. All over the world local and national organizations are celebrating what makes our children special. It is our goal to support the campaign and raise awareness for Down syndrome in the local community. This Rock Your Socks Off Dance Fundraiser and Silent Auction will be our community's celebration of this very meaningful internationally recognized day. It is also our organization's major fundraiser of the year. Most importantly, the dance provides our members the opportunity to celebrate their achievements and continue to change the way people view Down syndrome through their amazing self-confidence (and of course, their great dance moves)!
The Down Syndrome Association of Central New Jersey will be hosting its annual “Rock Your Socks Off: Dance Off” Fundraiser on March 12th, 2016. We are already in full swing planning and seeking sponsors and donations for our silent auction.
This event, along with all of our functions throughout the year such as social events for our children and adults, educational seminars, and community outreach efforts, is made possible only through the generous contribution of our sponsors. Your organization can be a true hero in the lives of children and adults with Down syndrome as a “Rock Your Socks Off: Dance Off” event sponsor. In doing so, you will become a champion of an international event (World Down Syndrome Day) while making a huge difference locally for our group.
Sponsorship can be accomplished through a monetary donation and/or through donation of supplies for the party or an item for the silent auction. Premier Sponsors with a donation of $500 value will be acknowledged on the back of t-shirts with a large logo and on social media, a donation of $200 value will receive a small logo on our event t-shirt and social media acknowledgement, a $100 sponsor will receive their name on the t-shirt and acknowledgement on social media.

The Down Syndrome Association of Central New Jersey is a non-profit organization, dedicated to providing support, education, opportunity and enrichment to persons with Down Syndrome and their families. We are a point of contact for information and support for families who have received the diagnosis either during pregnancy or after birth of their child. In addition, we educate our community at large about Down Syndrome with the hopes of breaking down barriers, eliminating misconceptions, and promoting inclusion for those with Down Syndrome. Our organization also has worked to improve communication in the medical community. We advocate for parents to receive their child’s diagnosis in a sensitive manner, without bias, and accompanied by accurate information on what it means to have Down Syndrome and the amazing capabilities of people with Down Syndrome.
