Like every other nonprofit, SCDC was hit hard by COVID-19. For 2 years, our ability to play was hampered and our fundraising became virtually nonexistent. This August, SCDC is ready to burst back onto the scene with our annual trivia night hosted by a local community pub. There will be games. There will be food. Most of all, there will be fun!

SCDC is proud to represent brands and businesses who align with our vision of a world where every person feels empowered in the face of challenging circumstances. Just like getting on skates for the first time, we believe that teamwork and comradarie is the most effective way to boost confidence and enrich lives. We are a team, and when we work with your brand or business, you become a part of the team, too.

The Deets

Who: St. Chux Derby Chix

What: Decades-themed trivia night

When: August 27th, 2022 at 5:00pm

Where: Leo's Pub and Grill in St. Charles, Missouri

Why: To raise funds for our team's rink rental fees, to rent facilities out for games and tournaments, to cover the expenses of web hosting, to compensate our referees when they come from out of town. (Fun fact, roller derby games require a whopping SEVEN official referees!)

How: Our team is 100% fueled by the hard work of the teammates and volunteers. All decoration, setup, organization, and execution will be done by the team. We do not hire out help, but we do plan to compensate any performers (such as drag queens or MCs) as a thank you. Likewise, all marketing of the event will be up to us and done by posting on social media, posting on community bulletin boards, and word of mouth.
