Description

THANK YOU for your interest in becoming a Keller ISD Education Foundation 20:22 Rooted Gala Donor .. The Rooted Gala is a premier fund raising event to support the Foundation's mission of supporting, funding and promoting educational excellence, innovation and creativity in Keller ISD.

On Saturday,. May 7, join the Foundation live from the Hilton Southlake as hundreds of business and community leaders gather to celebrate the deep roots we have established in the Keller ISD community. These roots provide our teachers and students with the support they need to dream big and prepare for great possibilities.

The Foundation funds Educator Grants each year to support out-of-the-box teaching ideas that help educators find newer and better ways to educate the children of Keller ISD. These grants facilitate unique and creative approaches that encourage higher levels of student learning, stimulate creativity and expand the existing curriculum. In addition, we created the Employee Professional Development Scholarship program in support of Keller ISD's core value of caring for teachers. All employees can apply for up to $1,000 to support their professional learning goals through this program.

The Keller ISD Education Foundation rewards hard-working students through various scholarship programs. Scholarship recipients use the funds toward tuition at an accredited college, university, community college, or trade school. Also, nearly 7,000 high school students in Keller ISD are enrolled in advanced placement (AP) courses. After completing their coursework, the students can earn college credit by taking an AP exam. To give every student a chance to get a head start on earning college credit, we created the AP Scholarship Program to reduce the costs of their exams.

In 2005, a group of parents and volunteers created the Keller ISD Education Foundation to unite the community to help bring innovative and enriching teaching to the 35,000-plus students and 4,000 educators and staff in our school district. Since the beginning, our Foundation has helped ensure that every child in our community has access to exceptional opportunities inside and outside the classroom. Thanks to an active board of directors, dedicated staff and the enthusiastic support of diverse community partners, we have invested more than $1.3 million in the Keller ISD community.

OUR VISION: To make Keller ISD a district where exceptional opportunities are available to all students.

OUR MISSION: To support, fund and promote educational excellence, innovation and creativity in Keller ISD
