Online Auction for El Rio Community SchoolMay 16, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM

Rooted in Community is a Spring Benefit Party for El Rio Community School taking place at Huron Substation in Cypress Park, Los Angeles, on Friday May 16th, 2025 from 7-10:30pm. The in-person portion of the event will feature food, drinks, dancing, and a live band as well as a live and silent auction. The silent auction will also be online via the site Givebutter.com. While the in-person party is one night only with attendance around 200 adults, our online auction generally lasts approximately 2 weeks and draws attendance in the thousands. Last year's auction event raised over $75k and our goal this year is over $100k.
El Rio Community School is a TK-8 school founded on core principles of the Alliance for Public Waldorf Education in the heart of Los Angeles. Located in Lincoln Heights and serving families from the greater LA community, El Rio is dedicated to the goal of providing a holistic curriculum to our socially and economically diverse students - working to educate free-thinking individuals who respect themselves, their community, and the planet. Our approach to academics is experiential and hands-on. Curiosity and imagination are fostered through an arts-integrated and developmentally appropriate curriculum that includes music, dance, art, outdoor education, Spanish and Mandarin instruction alongside rigorous academics.
