Roxborough Back to School Bash

TARGETED AUDIENCE:

Community Event for Families in NW Philadelphia

 

 

WHY:

To strengthen families and provide critical resources to reduce the burden and stress on caregivers as they take steps to prepare their children for a new academic year.

 

WHAT: 

  1. distribution of 250 backpacks filled with school supplies
  2. distribution of 250 bags of groceries 
  3. free back-to-school haircuts 
  4. provide families impacted by trauma a fun event where they can enjoy time with their children within the community in a safe environment (e.g., live DJ, facepaint, bounce house, refreshments -- all free of charge) 
  5. resource fair connecting families to local YMCA, sports, libraries, child welfare prevention, mental health screening/referals, and other critical resources.
