The Run for Gwyn is a 5k run and 1 mile fun walk at beautiful Falls Township Community. We have had 200 runners in the past and would love to recieve gifts to raffle off. 

I am writing to you today to introduce the Gifts from Gwyn Foundation. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation that was created by Gwyn’s family and friends to keep her memory alive for years to come by giving back to the community she was a part of.

Our community lost a wonderful daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. Gwyneth Ann Rivells was a smart, beautiful 17 year old girl with her whole life ahead of her. She was the heart and soul of our family. Gwyn just finished her junior year at Conwell-Egan High School where she played soccer and volleyball, and was looking forward to graduating with the class of 2016.  She was a talented artist and a great student. Gwyn loved her family, her friends, the beach, and she loved her school, Conwell-Egan, especially Spirit Night.  She intended to pursue a career in the medical field at Temple University. She also wanted to visit Paris and Rome. She even wanted to get a summer job at Disney World as a Disney princess. But on June 27, 2015, her heart stopped while at the Beach Blast Soccer Tournament, and our pain began. Although testing continues at Mayo Clinic, we have not been able to find out why this happened. As a result, we are looking to partner with and support Simonsheart.org to provide heart testing for young athletes.

 For the past three years, Gifts from Gwyn has given several scholarships to Holy Family Regional Catholic School and Conwell-Egan Catholic high school. We donated Christmas presents to the homeless shelter, provided GFG baskets to the Holy Family raffles. Gifts from Gwyn partnered with Holy Family Regional Catholic School in providing cash awards to a dozen needy families at Christmas and provided birthday boxes for children in a homeless shelter. We also provided trophies to the Annual Holy Family Gwyneth Rivells’ soccer tournament, and donated/provided meals for CEC Spirit night. We provided a cash award to Simon’s Heart for heart testing and we will be volunteering our time to assist with heart testing at the local high schools.

Any donation that your company could provide will help offset the cost of our efforts and would be greatly appreciated. If you are not able to make a donation, we would greatly appreciate it if you could promote our events. Some of our upcoming events include a Designer Bag Bingo on September 21, 2018 and our 4^th Annual 5k Run for Gwyn on November 24, 2018. There will be a basket auction held at the Annual Run and anything your company could donate toward a basket would be extremely helpful.
