Description

Now in its 47th year, Run for the Zoo is a fun and rewarding way to contribute directly towards animal care, conservation efforts, and education initiatives at Lincoln Park Zoo that help animals both locally and around the world. Run for the Zoo makes it easy for anyone, from toddlers to elite athletes, to help support their favorite species at the zoo and save them in the wild. Every race registration helps the zoo save species near and far and keeps this urban oasis free and open to the public, 365 days a year.

This race is suitable for all levels, featuring a flat, scenic course that winds around and through protected natural areas, the lakefront, and zoo grounds. Ambitious athletes can compete in the U.S.A. Track & Field-certified, chip-timed 5K and 10K courses. Families can enjoy a fun run or walk, and younger participants can take on the Kids' Course, a fun obstacle course built to get kids running, climbing, and crawling.
