Run To Remember 5K  
In Remembrance of Ed Harris
Co-Chairs, Jeffrey and Nicholas Harris
 
We are hoping that you will support us for an important community event that will be taking place on September 19, 2021 at Holmdel HS (NJ) in remembrance of Ed Harris, who tragically lost his life to Covid-19.
 
In honor of our father, my brother, Nicholas, and I have created this event to support 2 local charities; the NJ Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund and Hope for Children Foundation. These 2 foundations are both a 501c3 status and are currently helping others who have also been affected by this virus.

This will be a community celebration in honor of our father, Ed Harris, who was a life-long resident of Holmdel and always gave to his community 100%. He was very involved in coaching Holmdel youth baseball and football leagues for years and was just an all around nice guy who would help anyone in need.

Since he died at a time when Covid-19 restrictions didn't allow family or friends to attend his funeral, this will be a day for all who knew or about him to come together to remember and honor this great man who was so well-loved.

Our charity event will include:

• 5k Run/Walk also offering a Virtual option to join us for the race no matter where you are in the world. We have hired Split Second Timing, a racing company, to officially time the participants. 
• Vendors will be joining us for the day to showcase their professional practice/ business or unique craft.
• We will be having a Race Day Raffle where gift donations will be raffled off for a chance to win. 
• We are also offerining onsite Covid-19 vaccinations /testing provided by a local pharmacy.

We are asking for a donation match and would be so greatful to you. We would also accept any other donation from your organization as well.

We know this day will be a success inspired by our wonderful father.
