Science & Arts Academy is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational, not-for-profit day school for gifted students in Junior Kindergarten through eighth grade. Located in Des Plaines, a northwest suburb of Chicago, SAA draws students from over 71 different Chicagoland communities. 

We believe that every gifted child has the right to an education that is appropriate to his or her potential. Consistent with this belief, SAA commits to creating a stimulating learning experience by providing educational offerings suited to our students' varied levels of development.

On Saturday, March 18, 2023  we will gather at Pinstripes in Northbrook, Illinois to celebrate Science & Arts Academy at our Annual Benefit. The Annual Benefit is SAA’s largest and most important fundraising event. Proceeds from the event support the SAA Scholarship Fund.

With few programming options available for gifted students in the Chicagoland area, SAA uniquely meets the needs of this special population, dedicated to the realization of their full intellectual, artistic, physical, creative, emotional, and social potential.
