Description
Each year, the Sam Lawrence Dinner and Silent Auction support the Workers Arts and Heritage Centre’s free exhibitions, workshops, performances, and events. This signature event is an integral part of keeping WAHC’s programming free to the public.
Since its spaghetti dinner beginnings two decades ago, the Sam Lawrence Dinner has also grown beyond a traditional fundraising event to become an important celebration of working people’s stories and their contributions to our local and national communities.
As a landmark community event, the dinner attracts more than 200 guests from all over the GTA, the province, and from national labour organizations.
