San Diego Gives is a six-month nonprofit and donor capacity building program that culminates in a region-wide day of giving September 8, 2022. The effort highlight local, pressing community needs and the impactful responses of our nonprofit community via communications, an interactive website, and an online, crowdfunding campaign. Last year, San Diego Gives began as an experiment by a group of nonprofits and resulted in a day of unprecedented local giving. The September 2021 campaign raised nearly $500,000 from 2,385 donors for 107 nonprofits. We have ambitious goals for this year's campaign. These are to raise at least $2 million for 250 nonprofits and engage 4,000 donors. As of April 30, we have 233 nonprofits registered. Registration ends May 31.
