San Diego House Rabbit Society Bunnyfest 2022
Carnival/Festival for San Diego Companion Rabbit Society Inc/ San Diego House Rabbit SocietySep 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
DESCRIPTION
For the past 29 years, Bunnyfest has been the largest annual fundraiser for the San Diego House Rabbit Society (SDHRS). This year, the event will include both virtual and in-person components. The virtual component will feature on-demand access to 25+ educational speakers on rabbit behavior, health and care. The in-person component will be an outdoor festival with bunny-themed merchandise, games, art socials, children’s crafts, a silent auction and more. Our bunny community is excited to reunite in person after two years of attending Bunnyfest online during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, live rabbits will not be permitted this year due to the ongoing spread of the highly contagious and deadly Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV).
FUNDRAISING GOAL
The Bunnyfest fundraising goal is $40,000 to help defray our medical bills. Each year, SDHRS rescues hundreds of rabbits, many in need of medical care. All proceeds from Bunnyfest sponsors and attendees will go towards our medical expenses, which can exceed $95,000 per year. For more information about Bunnyfest, go to sandiegobunnyfest.org.
