The Dutch School of Southern California is a 501(c)3 registered charity that provides high quality education in Dutch language and culture at campuses in San Diego, North Hollywood and Orange. Lessons take place on Saturdays for school-aged children who have roots in the Netherlands or Belgium. We rely on tuition, a subsidy from the Dutch government and on donations for our funding. We are contacting you because one of our students or a parent of one of our students has interacted with you and wondered if you would consider supporting our school.

Fundraising is playing a more important role every year in sustaining the school’s mission. This year we are co-organizing a silent auction during King’s Day on Sunday April 21st, 2024, an annual celebration of the birthday of the King of the Netherlands.  More information on King’s Day can be found at: sdkingsday.com.

The King’s Day festivities and silent auction will take place at San Dieguito Park in Del Mar, CA. We expect over 1,500 guests from the elite of the community to attend, which will allow for prime exposure of your donated items and company support. The entire proceeds of the silent auction will benefit the Dutch School of Southern California.

We are seeking in-kind donations for our auction. This part of the event is crucial towards meeting our funding goal.  We realize that you receive many of these requests but let us assure you — a little can go a long way for our school.

Your generous gift will help our school to purchase new books for the school library and improve classroom technology.
