Description

With traditionally over 350 guests, Santé has featured the amazing restaurants, caterers, and beverage companies of our region. Attendees gather for the night to give back and celebrate those who have given back in time, talents and treasure to our kidney community.

Please support us by donating a product, service, experience, or gift certificate for our silent auction. Your contribution is an excellent opportunity to advertise your business and it is an investment in the lives of kidney patients across our region. A virtual catalog of auction items is published at the event in which you would be listed and noted for your generosity. The online auction platform also allows you to include a YouTube video or information to promote your business!

The National Kidney Foundation is the largest, most comprehensive, and longstanding organization dedicated to the awareness, prevention, and treatment of kidney disease – which is the 9th leading cause of death nationwide and affects 1 in 7 community members from Maryland and Delaware. Today, there are over 3,000 Marylanders waiting for a life-saving kidney transplant, and approximately 10,000 who are on dialysis. Each year, kidney disease takes more lives than breast and prostate cancers. The number of American adults who have chronic kidney disease is now estimated to be 37 million – that’s one out of every seven or 15 percent of the adult population – according to the latest data analyzed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  People with kidney disease, transplant recipients, and people with other severe chronic medical conditions are at higher risk for developing serious complications from COVID-19, also known as coronavirus. This year more than ever, we need your support!

Proceeds from Santé will support the Foundation’s local patient emergency assistance program, providing essentials such as medication, food, transportation to dialysis, medical supplies, rent/housing and/or utility relief. Dollars raised also help fund vital research from the top nephrologists at Johns Hopkins Medicine and University of Maryland Medical Center.
