Forming Children in Truth, Goodness, and Beauty
Now in our fifteenth year, St. John Bosco Schools (“SJBS”) continues to provide a Catholic liberal arts education from Pre-K through eighth grade for students in the greater Rochester area. Our students are urban, suburban, and rural – living in the City of Rochester and various towns and villages throughout the Monroe, Ontario, and Wayne counties.

Heavily invested in the classical model of education, SJBS emphasizes the importance of a rigorous curriculum rooted in history, the arts, and ancient cultures. Our approach encourages students to explore ideas, individuals, themes, and events throughout the centuries. The focus on history is not backward-looking, but rather, allows students to critically draw upon the past to understand the modern world. As one illustration, students begin to study Latin in the First grade to become masters of language—learning its beauty and the foundations of etymology—and, in turn, mature as confident writers and engaging public speakers.

No matter the year, SJBS adheres to one of its founding principles that any family who desires to provide its children with a faith-based education should have the opportunity and support needed. We believe that no child should be denied due to financial limitations. Your generosity will support the ongoing vitality of our academic mission as well as providing need-based assistance to families of diverse socio-economic needs. From wherever you are, we gratefully appreciate your commitment to classical education!
