Located in Nashville, Tennessee, Meharry Medical College is one of the nation’s oldest and largest historically black academic health science centers dedicated to educating physicians, dentists, researchers, and health policy experts. Founded in 1876, Meharry was the first medical school in the South for African Americans. The School of Graduate Studies started our PhD program in 1972. Since then, Meharry has awarded over 15% of all biomedical PhDs earned by African-American scientists in the US.

On April 29, 2023, we will host a gala to celebrate our success and look towards our future. There will be a silent auction to raise money for student scholarships, and we would appreciate your donation for the auction.
