Illinois Science Council, (ISC) will host its eleventh annual fundraising event, the Science Cocktail Party,  Science definitely deserves a celebration, so you are invited to join ISC for our 11th Science Cocktail Party, October 22nd to celebrate science, Chicago's scientific community, and support our ongoing efforts at improving science literacy.

There will be smart, interesting, and beautiful people, delicious food, beer, wine and our signature science-y cocktail, raffle prizes, plus very cool hands-on science experiments. It's all in the name of science and fun!

ISC is a non-governmental 501c3 organization that promotes understanding and appreciation of science and technology among adults in Chicago. We host a wide variety of engaging programs offered at low or no cost to the public and have reached thousands through over 200 popular programs covering all areas of science.

Why we do it? Because understanding science and technology, and the scientific process, makes people better critical thinkers, smarter consumers and decision-makers, and more well-rounded citizens. Chicago is home to an extraordinary number of universities, museums, national laboratories, zoos, medical centers, and companies doing work in science and technology every day. While the arts and cultural sector in Chicago receives deserved attention and funding, we believe Chicago is equally deserving of a strong science culture. So ISC works to create enthusiasm for understanding science to make Chicago known as our nation’s true “City of Science!”
