Scouts BSA Troop 48 Annual Spaghetti Dinner & Silent Auction
Other Event Type for St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church/ Scouts BSA Troop 48Mar 09, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Scouts BSA Troop 48 is honored to be a Crown Point institution for nearly a century. Troop 48 provides a place for young people in the area to grow and mature while learning lifelong skills such as citizenship, outdoor stewardship, and teamwork while continuing our holistic approach providing experiences unavailable to those outside our program.
This year will be our 16th year holding this fundraiser and we expect again to serve between 600-700 dinners or more given the extensive local advertising. Our dinner this year will be held March 09, 2024, and as always we will be asking all those in attendance to support those businesses that have supported us over the years.
Our Annual Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction are critical to the success of Troop 48 and our community service efforts. We firmly believe that support from area businesses is a major factor in our mutual successes. We are asking for donations to help continue our Spaghetti Dinner’s successful run. We place a list of donors on everyone’s placemat, a slideshow, and on promotional posters throughout the dining area. Anonymous listings are available if that fits your group’s needs as well. Table sponsorships are available also, as we understand not all businesses can offer services or products for auction.
Troop 48 has continued to grow and expand our activities. Among them are: one camping trip a month, our most recent weeklong summer camp was at Owasippe Scout Reservation in Whitehall, Michigan. In 2024 Troop 48 will venture to a new Summer Camp experience to enrich our Scouts’ summer adventures.
Your unwavering support of this Spaghetti Dinner helps fund these activities and more. Troop 48 Scouts are called to serve the local community throughout the year, in addition to participation in parades and various ceremonies in our area. Our recent Eagle project highlights include the construction of a Fire Pit for the parishioners of St. Matthias and benches for seating around the fire pit.
As we tell our Scouts, “When we all work together, great things can be accomplished.”, and we believe that we have been able to accomplish great things in large part because of the help from our community.
