Description

Scouting America Troop 48 has been honored to be a Crown Point institution for nearly a century. Troop 48 provides a place for young people in the area to grow and mature in the course of learning lifelong skills such as citizenship, outdoor
stewardship, and teamwork while continuing our holistic approach providing experiences unavailable to those outside our program.

This year will be our 17th year holding this fundraiser and we expect to serve between 600-700 dinners or more. Our dinner this year will be held March 08, 2025, and as always, we will be asking all those in attendance to support those
businesses that have supported us over the years. Our Annual Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction are critical to the success of Troop 48 and our community service efforts.
We firmly believe that support from area businesses is a major factor in our achievements. We are seeking donations for our silent auction to help continue our Spaghetti Dinner’s noteworthy efforts. We place a list of donors on every placemat,
a slideshow, and on promotional posters throughout the dining area. Table sponsorships are available, as we understand not all businesses can offer services or products suitable for auction.
Your unwavering support for this Spaghetti Dinner assists the Troop in providing enriching Summer Camp opportunities and other activities. Troop 48 Scouts are called to serve the local community throughout the year, in addition to
participating in parades and various ceremonies in our area.
Our recent Eagle project highlights include the installation of the 3 flagpoles and associated landscaping in front of St. Matthias, a woodshed constructed near the Fire Pit for the parishioners of St. Matthias, construction of a wildlife habitat
enclosure and other small animal habitat structures at Humane Indiana, in Valparaiso, a wonderful beautification of the Legacy Fields property on Merrillville Rd. here in Crown Point, and the construction and installation of a Blessing Box food
pantry on the Parish property to extend the reach of the existing Food Pantry mission of St. Matthias.

As we tell our Scouts, “When we all work together, great things can be accomplished.”, and we believe that we have been
able to accomplish great things in large part because of the help from our community.
