10-day genre film festival showcasing new short and feature films from around the world at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood.

During the festival, 3-days of educational workshops are held for at-risk 4th grade to 12th grade students on directing, writing, acting, special effects makeup, storyboarding, sound and more to introduce them to potential careers in the arts. 

Media outlets such as Entertainment Weekly, USMagazine, People Magazine, Time Magazine, Th e LA Times, KTLA, KNBC, KABC, Fox 11, Variety, and the Hollywood Reporter have featured the Festival's programs and events. Screamfest® is dedicated to our loyal audience who sell out many of our monthly screening events throughout the year.

Screamfest is a female-run 501c3 nonprofit film festival. Screamfest Horror Film Festival is an arts organization committed to the support and development of independent fi lmmakers and screenwriters of the Horror genre. The ten day festival provides a platform for emerging writers and directors to showcase their work to the industry and horror enthusiast from around the world. Screamfest is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission. Screamfest is made possible in part by a grant from the City of Los Angeles, Department of Cultural Affairs.
